The AU Bioenergy and Bioproducts Center was established in January 2007 as part of the new AU Natural Resources Management & Development Institute to seek bioenergy and bioproduct breakthroughs at all levels, from the farm and forests through the manufacturing processes to delivery at the pump. Steve Taylor, head and professor of the AU Department of Biosystems Engineering, is director of the center. |

The AU Water Resources Center was established in January 2007 as part of the new AU Natural Resources Management & Development Institute. Its goal is to enhance the economic well being and quality of life for residents of Alabama and other southeastern states by ensuring the quality and availability of ample quantities of surface and groundwater. Graeme Lockaby, associate dean for research and professor in the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences, is director of the center. |
