Currently, the Water Resources Center is funding two interdisciplinary watershed studies. Located in the Wolf Bay Watershed and the Tallapoosa Watershed, these studies will identify and develop integrative tools that will allow researchers to:
Develop hydrologic models to predict changes in flow due to climate variation and land-use change
Evaluate hydrologic changes in terms of ecological and economic impact
Evaluate alternative water management practices which optimally allocate and increase supplies of available water
Develop free market approaches to maintainng green space, thereby enhancing surface water quantity and quality
