Advanced Semiconductor Materials Research Program

The Advanced Semiconductor Materials Research Program at Auburn University adds a critical energy conservation element to the initiatives in the Natural Resources Management & Development Institute.

Research faculty are currently engaged in activity allowing them to:

• Develop advanced semiconductor materials and device technology for more efficient energy uses
• Commercialize more energy efficient and reliable power electronics for a broad range of applications such as distributed power for hybrid/electric vehicles
• Train students and others in the development and use of wide band gap semiconductors
